HEY DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY GOOD BOOKS ON INTELLIGENT POLYMERS AND DOES ANYONE  know where to buy intelligent polymers or how to make them.
Thanks

The buzz word for what your looking for isn't "intelligent polymers" but its called "molecular muscles" Nasa has a lot on it. You may also want to do a search in the forum for it, we've discussed it in the past.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

yeah I only remember a bit on the muscles that work by the intelligent polymers contracting and relaxing due to electrical stimuli. But the main problem is I first heard about intelligent polymers at a lecture and back then alot of the stuff the lecturer said was a bit over my head but I have been slowly peicing together information about them and websites don't tell much.
Thanks

look for piezoelectric polymers... Random dipoles in a polymer can be made to align in an electric field exerting a force on the polymer making it contract expand etcetera.  high grade PVC, and PAN are typical examples (I think?) of piezoelectric polymers being produced today

Anybody hear about that competition between a girl and robots. It was some event where a bunch of teams show cased their mechanical muscles. Some used acid, some electricity, some a hell of a lot of electricity. The girl beat all the robots.

I can't find an article relating to this story. I also don't know of many places to look for it.
