Hi everyone, I'm now doing some IChO 45th preparatory problems and one chemical kinetics problem really needs an attention. I am given rate law of reaction and I have to derive a full  multistep mechanism of the reaction. At first it was impossible to think of anything. Finally I notice that the rate of reaction depends on rate determining step and steps before it, all the other following steps don't influence the rate law. And what if I put the rate determining step first and all the other steps after it to balance the equation, the mechanism would match the rate law, but would it be ok? In this case the problem would be too easy, but I still would get the correct answer. Here is a link if you want to see the problem, it is "Problem 10.
