Electron Clouds/Quantum Numbers HELP
« on: April 20, 2013, 02:41:50 PM »
I've been doing this question for a while and still cannot reach the correct answer:

Which ion has a charge of 2+ and whose last electron into and orbit has quantum numbers of 3, 2, 0, -1/2?
A) Co 2+
B) Zn 2+
C) Cu 2+
D) Ni 2+

"D" is the incorrect answer and I keep getting it. What is the right answer and how do you get it? :|
I have an exam on this so please don't randomly guess answer. Thanks! :D

I got D as well, so in the worst case we both failed.
