What would it be doing in the cytoplasm of a eukaryotic organism?

You could check your textbook for a little Where? question like this.  However, like Babcock_Hall: asked:  What does it do?  What is it's substrate?  Where do you find the substrate?  These are useful things to keep in mind, so you can have the answer rapidly come exam time.  Unless your exam is open laptop, we can't help you then.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
