Any tips?
« on: June 24, 2013, 06:26:15 PM »
Hi, I am entering high school this year, and I want to be a Chemical Engineer, more specifically in the Manufacturing of Medicine. I would appreciate any tips and help for what I need to do in high school to get into the school I want to study Chem. Engineering at, which is Purdue University.  I would love all the help I can get.

Are you sure you want to be a Chemical Engineer & not a Pharmacy major or Organic / Medicinal Chemistry?

Take all math, physics and chemistry courses that you can. The chemistry course being probably the least important.

You should definitely take Advanced Placement Chemistry, or maybe even skip Honors Chemistry when doing so. That's what I did. Also, make sure that you are proficient at math. AP Calculus BC or AP Statistics would be a good idea.
