Chemistry Thermodynamics Questions!
« on: July 01, 2013, 05:44:12 AM »
Would appreciate any help with the following questions:

1. Energy is absorbed from the surroundings in endothermic reaction. Why does this increase in energy not lead to an increase in entropy of the system? Also, why does a decrease in energy in exothermic reactions not lead to a decrease in entropy of the system?

What men are poets who can speak of Jupiter if he were like a man, but if he is an immense spinning sphere of methane and ammonia must be silent?  - Richard P. Feynman
