Atomic Sublevels
« on: February 16, 2006, 04:38:59 PM »
Can some one help me out, I have a major test tomorrow but I don't know how Atomic Sublevels work? How do I know if an element has electrons in S, P, D, or F levels? IS there an ONLINE periodic table in which can helps me do this....is there any relation of this to a periodic table (for the diagrams is it the same except with S P D and F)???

This is a bit  late, and there isn't any explanation here but it does show how the subshells are filled quite nicely. If you want to quickly jump the diagram thingy to a different element, type the elemental symbol in the url between the text and econ.html bit, to replace the H.
