Question about calculating the pH?
« on: July 30, 2013, 02:09:11 AM »
I'm familiar when it comes to calculating pH but I just wanted to know, conceptually, what is the main differences between...

calculating the pH of a buffer

vs

calculating the pH of a titration of strong acid/ strong base, weak base/ strong acid, etc.

Both types of problems seem so similar but the calculations for each are slightly different (I think) and it can get very confusing.
