Hello, greeting to all, I'm new here.  I need a help on my postgraduate research. Currently I'm researching on capping ability of functional group to prevent nanoparticles agglomeration in solution . I synthesis silver nanoparticles by using laser ablation in some liquid. In my experiment, is Agar. (this research is more to physics). 1 of my analysis is FT-IR.

I already done the FT-IR analysis, and as far as I now, FT-IR analysis is to determine which functional group that present in sample. But, my supervisor told me that, we can know what type of bonding between nanoparticles surface and functional group that present in sample. I'm confuse right now, and I need help from you because  my supervisor and  I,  we are in physics field, and know a little in chemistry.
