Reaction with oximes
«

I'm doing a reaction with an oxime. Does anyone know how to quench the reaction?
I know beckmann rearrangement is a common reaction for oximes, but I think the normal reaction with acidic conditions may be to harsh.

What reaction are you doing with an oxime?
Reaction with different phosphoric acid compounds.
I want to quench the reactions, so that I can decide how much has reacted after ex 5 min, 30min, 1 hour etc.

You can probably just neutralize the acid with aq. NaHCO
3
and then extract your oxime into ethyl acetate or something.
