I need to obtain poly (allylamine) (PAAm) from  poly (allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH), the plan is to use triethylamine (will turn into triethylamine hydrochloride) to remove HCl from the polymer in water, then separate the polymer solution and insoluble salt by gravity filtration. What I don't know is the molar ratio and processing time for this rxn, since I couldn't find this rxn through web of science. Any related information will be helpful, thank you.

The question is: is it strong enough. Maybe has to use sodium hydroxide.
