Finding activities and concentrations?
« on: September 15, 2013, 07:19:06 PM »
Alright,

So I have this problem: http://i.imgur.com/C8zCeuD.png.  And I believe I've been able to successfully answer part A and B.  However, on C, I've been completely lost for the last hour or so.

How do I find the concentrations of these products, when I know that the activity coefficients are each 1?

I've tried working with the Davie's equation and Ionic Strength equation, but both get me nowhere.

Thanks for any help or explanation you can give!

If the activity coefficients are 1, you can forget about activities as such - they will be the same as concentrations for solution phase molecules, partial pressures for gaseous phase, and 1 for anything else.
