dilution question

(1/1)

kate1:
I don't know how to do this question :( can anyone help me plz tanks

a 0.1430 g sample of copper was dissolved in 20 ml of 6 mol/L HNO3 and diluted to 100.0 ml volumetric flask.wats its concentration of copper in g/L

mike:
Well the volumetric flask fixes the volume at 100mL = 0.1L

And the amount of copper is 0.1430g

concentration in g/L  = mass/volume

kate1:
so basicly the answer would be .1430/.1= 1.4 g/l ???

it was that easy!

mike:
I believe so :)
