Slowing reaction of nasio2
« on: March 01, 2006, 12:03:30 PM »
Hello Folks being a new member to this forum I am asking for ideas to slow the reaction of free alkalis and sodium silicate. I have tried diluting the matrix with water and other matrix modifying aspects. Was advised to cool or chill the Nasio2 , however this will definately cause viscosity issues. The matrix once created needs to be cast in a mold and therefore I cannot give up the current viscosity I am working with. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
