Independent investigation ideas? 1 variable experiment :)
« on: October 23, 2013, 09:07:25 PM »
Hello everyone, i'm looking into what experiment I could do for my summative.

I was thinking about creating biodiesel -- waste veggie oil, alcohol and a neutralising agent (probably NaOH)...
or recycling aluminum cans into alum.

But i'm not sure what I can alter as a variable for either of these reactions. :-\

Maybe I can alter the temperature and see how that affects yield?? Any suggestions? :)

can we assume you did not mean
recycling aluminum cans into  hydrated potassium aluminium sulfate

did you mean to say
recycling aluminum cans into aluminum
(which is also confusing)

how do you propose to do the recycling?
