AMU to atoms
« on: November 06, 2013, 09:42:30 PM »
I just wanted to double check to see if I'm doing this correctly.
The question asks: How many oxygen atoms are in 1024 amu?

If the atomic weight of oxygen is 16.00, we can just divide 1024 by 16.00 and see how many atoms there are. So is the answer 64 oxygen atoms?

Seems ok to me.
The way of the superior man may be compared to what takes place in traveling, when to go to a distance we must first traverse the space that is near, and in ascending a height, when we must begin from the lower ground. (Confucius)
