What's this chemical bond called?
« on: November 14, 2013, 05:20:53 PM »
Hi all, new here.  Could anyone tell me what the chemical bond circled is called? (molecule is PAN)

Is it the result of joining acrylonitrile monomers undergoing solution polymerization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solution_polymerization)?

The bond is indeed triple, but the functional group is a nitrile.
