Non-Linear Optics, Quantum Entanglement, and Thermochromics
« on: November 16, 2013, 01:11:18 AM »
I'm working on a conductor for a chem lab.

Here's my draft of the solution, any idea of structural compounds?

Barium Borate Oxide

Lithium Borate Oxide

Cuprous mercury iodide

Silver mercury iodide

Mercury(II) iodide

Bis(dimethylammonium) tetrachloronickelate

Bis(diethylammonium) tetrachlorocuprate

Nickel sulfate

Chromium(III) oxide:aluminium(III) oxide

Vanadium dioxide

Strontium Aluminate

Petrolatum

and Neodynium

No idea what the question is, no idea if/how it is related to the Nuclear Chemistry. Care to elaborate?

OK, so you've essentially copied the table out of the end of the Wikipedia article on non-linear optics:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonlinear_optics#Common_SHG_materials  Can you show us that you understand the underlying concepts?  What the the part before those chemicals, for example, 800 nm light : BBO mean?  And why do yo think you need the "structural compounds"?  How does the answer to that question solve a particular problem for you?
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
