Organic nomenclature question

I am so confused on a organic nomenclature question. I thought I was getting the hang of it but clearly not...

if anyone can shed some guidance I would be much appreciated

What is confusing you?

Google the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog rules while you think about my question.

I apolgoise... It seems my computer froze and not all the message was sent

Ok.. So I have got the R/S all fine, as I can do that. But its naming the molecule? I have tried and tried but cant seem to name it (or others for that matter) I have googled and looked in books but struggling

Look for the longest carbon chain containing the carboxylic acid.

Then of course add the (R) or (S) in there.
Hope this helps, I am currently taking organic 1 and I believe I am pretty strong with the nomenclature section.

OK, it is a pentatonic acid, what about the OH and methyl groups, with respect to their numbering and configuration?
