About Molecular orbital theory
« on: December 06, 2013, 09:56:55 AM »
I have some question about Molecular orbital theory.
1. MO of Ne2(-)
in my opinion, it doesn't because Ne will be expanded octet but I'm not sure.
2. LUMO of F2(2-)
None or 3s sigma bonding?

Thank you for your answer :)

I don't understand what the actual questions are.  E.g., "MO of Ne2(-)" is not a question.

I'm sorry.
The questions are
1. What is the MO diagram for Ne2(2-)
2. What is the LUMO for F2(2-)
Thank you so much :)

How do you draw MO diagrams of these molecules?
