Which type of chromatography should I use
« on: January 04, 2014, 02:12:38 PM »
Hello people.
I'm having trouble finding out any information regarding a question I have been given. Please help.

In a sample that contains; acetophenone, nitrobenzene, benzene, and toluene, which type of chromatography would give the best separation between HPLC, or GC

Thank you in advanced.

When faced with a problem like this, its often good to work backwards.  What is the difference between GC and LC?  And how do the differences apply to each of your analytes?

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but that's how we do things here.  We don't just dump answers.  Read here: http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?topic=65859.0
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
