DMSO acidities required : Substituted acetic acids
« on: January 10, 2014, 02:34:44 PM »
I need DMSO pKa values for 2-Fluoroacetic acid, 2-Chloroacetic acid, 2-Bromoacetic acid and 2-Iodoacetic acid for my research.

I have searched extensively even through journal-archives, but didn't find DMSO values. pKa values in any other aprotic solvent will also do. I was able to find DMSO values for TCA and TFA , but not for any of these compounds.

If anyone can cite any reference, will be very indebted.

The page is from a book by Brian Cox, and all I saw was a value for chloroacetic acid.  Apparently it is section 9.2 from his book.

Thanks, but I needed at least two of the values. Any further help will be HIGHLY appreciated.
