Entropy equation [Thermodynamics]
« on: January 19, 2014, 03:57:39 AM »
Hey all,

I have a question about the Entropy equation. Basic equation of Entropy is: S=S(E,V,n).
In order to build two equations TdS:

[tex]
T·dS=Cp·dT-T·(dV/dT)_p·dP
[/tex]
[tex]
T·dS=Cv·dT+T·(dP/dT)_v·dV
[/tex]

I have set that Entropy: S=S(T,P) and S=S(T,V).
# What is the freedom to select the dependent parameters (P,V,T,n...etc) for the entropy or any mode function ?
# How to choose the correct parameters? How to make sure the right choice?

Thanks in advance,
idan.
