Using your knowledge of intermolecular attractions, explain the floowing observations.
A. Ethanol mixes with water in all propertions and there is virtually no temperature change on mixing.
B. With ethanol and cyclohexane, there is little mixing and there is a drop in temperature when the two liquid are added together.
