Ultrasonication ideas
« on: March 26, 2014, 07:04:14 PM »
Hi all,

Just purchased an ultrasonic power supply & several emitters at 20kHz & 25 kHz range. I already have an ultrasonic drill in production but I have been geeking out over all the other applications for ultrasound, more to the point, catalysis; especially in conjunction with natural & modified zeolites.  I've seen some patents with pretty cool green shortcuts to Knoevangel condensation, for example.

I don't have any immediate use for chalcones, but it is nonetheless impressive as the modified zeolites used within are within my grasp.

Does anyone here have any experience with ultrasonication & tips to share? Things to look out for that wouldn't be in a patent, etc.
The person who takes responsibility on his shoulders isn't likely to have a chip there.
