What if two or more of the atoms directly connected to the chiral center are the same?
How do you number them then?

Double and triple bonds complicate this slightly, how do you think this is?

I don't really understand how to do things with double/triple bonds, multiple chiral centers, or cyclic molecules. (Though I can identify meso compounds.)

Apparently it has something to do with functional groups.

Is there a explanation somewhere I can read? (I don't want to bother you by asking you to explain it)
