can anyone tell me how to get sodium from sodium chloride. I tried to get it but because sodium is very reactive experiment didn't work. I need sodium for the experiment with water.

Sounds you like to do fulminate experiments. I think this is not allowed here.
How do you try to get the sodium. The only way is to melt sodiumchloride (800 ° C) and do electrolysis, but this ist not for home. To dangerous and you get also chlorine gas.

Have you read the forum rules?

As to your getting pure Sodium question;
This would be very difficult in a lab not set up for the process.
It sounds like you do not have sufficient knowledge as far as electrolysis.
I suggest reading about it and come back with what you do not understand.

When you come back please post what you think the formula should be for the process you are trying.

i don't understand all formules here on those websites. And i have one more question. Can be electrolysis of sodium chloride only did with melted sodium chloride used as electrolyte or can be used sofium chloridr in water? Does sodium not react with water after electrolysis if someone use sodium chloride as electrolyte?
