Challenging test question
« on: May 16, 2014, 07:27:32 PM »
I was working on the test question from last year.
What i first did was solved for volume of KO2 and then i don't know where to go on from there?

Volume of KO2?

I mean they gave me all the things needed to calculate the volume of KO2 (the pressure, temperature, and 1kg mass of it as well). Unless i wasn't supposed to take the route? I don't know where to go with this question :(

Are you sure you are not mistaking KO2 for CO2?

Oh you're right!
So i found the moles of CO2 using mole ratios and then found volume CO2 with PV=nRT and used a conversion pathway to get 8.22 hours. I don't know if thats correct though  ???

4% of CO2 (40,000 ppm) is the maximum instantaneous limit considered immediately dangerous to life and health.
