Weighing paper vs ordinary paper
« on: May 21, 2014, 09:54:37 AM »
Hi

Did anyone of you wonder there is specialized weighing paper in the lab?

When my lab is out of weighing paper, I just use the ordinary printing paper instead.

I suppose on a level, its just more appropriate to use lab weighing paper.  It may be cleaner, it is often lightly waxed to allow things to slide off, and its more uniform in mass.  Why that's important, or better than writing paper, given that you're going to tare it anyway, I don't know.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
