Solubility of Ammonium Chloride
« on: July 11, 2014, 11:17:03 PM »
I was wondering if anyone could help me with an inquiry. I'm trying to find out the solubilty of Ammonium Chloride in different Alcohols and Solvents.

I know that Am.Cl is very soluble in water at a rate of 294 g/L (0 °C) to 740.8 g/L (100 °C). Apparently it's soluble in Acetone, but I havnt been able to find out how many grams per litre. I keep finding mixed results in regards to Methanol, some people say it is soluble where others believe it isn't. I found a solubility chart which mentions that Am.Cl is soluble in Alcohols and Wikipedia stats that Am.Cl is soluble in Ethanol at 6 g/L (19 °C) and Methanol at 3.35 g/100 g (19 °C). I'm not sure what that translates into grams per litre.

Would anyone reading this post be able to fill me in with what they know about the solubilty or insolubility of Ammonium Chloride? Thanks in advance...
