Hi, just some terminology that im not familiar with.

If a reactant given was 11g of butanon in 55 mL of ether which contanted 1.1 % by weight of water, what does the 1.1% by weight of water mean exactly?

Not clear for me whether the 1.1% relates to ether alone or the mixture. 1.1% by weight means that if you weight the solution, 1.1% of its mass is water.

thank you, i believe the 1.1% relates to the ether solution.
