I am trying to find a good reference source for making ferrous citrate
from sodium citrate and FeCl3.
Could any one help.
I have very little chemistry background
so if some one can help me explain the reaction
I believe the reaction will be

FeCl3+ Na3C6H6O7------>3NaCl+ FeC6H5o7
(Ferric chloride)+Trisodiumcitrate----> Ferrous citrate??
Thanks a lot in advance
If this reaction is possible and what conditions I should use for high yield.

The problem is to get rid of the sodium chloride. I would do in other way. Add Sodium hydroxide or -carbonate to the iron chloride, you will get precipitation of iron hydroxide. Filter it abd wash it  with water. The iron hydroxide you neutalize with citric acid and voala you get your clean product.
