Hexaamminecobalt(III) chloride structure determination
« on: September 06, 2014, 10:53:01 PM »
Hexaamminecobalt(III) chloride structure was determined by Nobel Prize winner Alfred Werner by measuring the conductivity of the compound in aqueous solution.
Can we determine the structure also by X-ray diffraction or infrared as well? How?

Yes we can determine the structure by X-ray if you have suitable crystal. Im not sure about IR but I think its also possible if you have apropriate instrument.

about how.. Do you know how those instruments operate?
