why does a subtance has a lower boiling point if its vapour pressure increase? i remember that if vapour pressure decrease, the boiling point will decrease as well.
i am confused. above is what i read in textbook.plase correct me and clarify it. thx

A substance boils when its vapour pressure equals atmospheric pressure. The lower its vapour pressure at room temperature, the higher temperature it must be heated to in order to get it to boil.
