[cholesterol] in the blood
« on: October 05, 2014, 11:00:49 AM »
Please help...

The normal cholesterol level in the blood is 1.0mg/mL. your body contains 5.5L of blood. You just ate 2 hard boiled eggs (one egg contains 250mg of cholesterol). What is the cholesterol concentration in your blood if all the cholesterol from the egg was absorbed?

thanksss

Ok so,

the 500mg brings the total level in the body up to 6000mg

6000mg/5.5L of blood = 1090.9mg/L = 1.0909mg/mL

is this correct?

5500mg?

Sorry, my mistake, I misread the initial concentration as mg/l, not mg/ml. The rest seems fine but watch sf
