I've been reading up on fuel cells and I am still not sure why high temperature fuel cells tolerate impurities better than low temperature ones. Apparently the high temperature ones can reform H2 from CO. This can't happen in a low temperature cell because the temperature isn't high enough for a reasonable reaction rate?
