rxn between lead(ll) oxide and hydrogen
« on: October 19, 2014, 04:17:53 AM »
Guys my book indicates zinc oxide cant be reduced as hydrogen doesnt have enought power to do so. That's true

However it said lead (ll) oxide can be reduced

But according to the ecs, both lead ion and zinc ion are weaker than hydrogen ion , so why lead iom can be reduced?

There is something wrong in your book. Lead also cannot be reduced by hydrogen.
