Organic chemistry reactions
« on: October 24, 2014, 12:18:31 AM »

hey guys, as u can guess i am new to this forum and had a quick question. We are doing different types of organic reactions. This came up the other day and is confusing as hell (at least for now). Would you classify this as an addition reaction or a substitution reaction? Because depending on the way u "use" HBr u can have two different results. (can you?)

Thank you for your geniousity!

That looks like someone has tippexed out 2's on the hydrogens and pencilled in a second C-C bond. Are you sure what question you should be answering?
