Hydrolysis of a MgCl2 solution
« on: November 02, 2014, 02:08:07 PM »
Hi everybody,

When preparing a concentrated aqueous solution of MgCl2 (close to saturation), it may suffer hydrolysis, forming hydroxides precipitation, even if the salt comes from strong acid and strong base? how to calculate the pH at which the hydrolysis would not occur?

Thank you!!
