Eteroatoms

Hi Everyone!! :-) I need to know why eteroathoms are elecronegative and why their presence in a molecule, make it more hydrophilic?? Thank you :-)

Electronegativity you can see in the periodic table of elements, More right and more on top its more electronegative. Fluorine is the negativeness one. Electronegative atoms like oxygen or nitrogen like hydrogen from water and acids. So its hydrophil.

I think it is meant Hetero atoms.  Probably silviaciavola's mother language is not English.
