Avogadro's number
« on: February 07, 2015, 01:28:08 AM »
Just checking the answer on a Chemistry problem.  The question is:  "how many atoms of Al are contained in 3.73 moles of Al atoms?"

so using Alogadro's number I get:

3.73 mol Al x 6.022 x 10^23 atoms Al
1 mol Al
= 2.24 x 10^25 atoms Al

The answer given in my Chemistry book, however, states that the answer is 2.24 x 10^24 atoms Al.

Wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks for anyone's help on this!
