NMR question
« on: July 26, 2004, 08:49:32 PM »
I am working on a homework problem concerning NMR...my question is for one section known as the integration...there is a 1H and it has a multiplicity as a septet.  What I am not getting is that there is a Hydrogen that has 7 neighbors?  Am I getting this right or am I doing something wrong.

it has 6 neighbors. It follows an n+1 rule
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
