Redox
« on: March 29, 2015, 07:06:27 PM »
I am on the last question in my homework, and am totally baffled! I know I'll have to balance a redox equation, but I have no idea how to create the equation from this.
Here's the question:

A sample of impure tin of mass 0.535g is dissolved in strong acid to give a solution of Sn2+. The solution is then titrated with a 0.0448 M solution of NO−3, which is reduced to NO(g). The equivalence point is reached upon the addition of 0.0352L of the NO−3 solution. Find the percent by mass of tin in the original sample, assuming that it contains no other reducing agents.
