Which of the following is amphoteric?
(1/1)
kkrizka:
This is a question that appeared on my last test. There is a small problem with it. But the teacher says it is still valid because there is a small chance of one of them being ampotheric. I'm just wondering, which one do you think it is?
Which of the following is amphoteric?
a H2Mo2+
b CH4
c Mo-
d H+
Mitch:
How could Mo be minus?
kkrizka:
It's one of the choices on the test.
Mitch:
Its not chemically inert methane. ;)

It is easier to reject such a stupid examples.
To kkrizka - amphoteric, means - it can react with acid and bases to form reasonable compounds.
