Cycloadditions mechanism convention?

Is it a convention to draw the dienophile attacking from underneath the diene or is it equally correct the write the attack from top?

In the absence of a chiral moiety, my guess would be 50/50. So I think either way should be okay.

Are you trying to show an endo preference including an acyclic equivalent?
