Acid base
« on: June 11, 2015, 02:25:04 AM »
Hello,

I am studying for the olympiad and would like an example(s) of a possible acid-base so I can get an idea.

In the syllabus it said, "Acids bases and pH - Concept of Lowry Bronsted acids and bases, Kw, pH, pKa, pKb. Calculations based upon pH for simple systems."

Thanks

What acids do you know? What bases do you know?

Assume some random volumes/amounts/concentrations of the substances you have listed. What is pH of these solutions? Mix random volumes of these solutions - what is pH of what you got?
