Determining Non-solvent amount
« on: July 13, 2015, 06:20:38 PM »
Hello,

I am currently working on the precipitation of a polymer. The polymer is highly soluble in the current solvent and I have the solution down to 0.4g, with the initial monomer concentration being 0.3g. I was wondering if there is any way of determining the ratio of solvent/polymer mixture to non-solvent or is it always just a trial and error method? What I am working with is expensive and I have attempted looking at the literature for answers, but no one gives a direct method.
