Chemicals - help
« on: July 14, 2015, 07:25:37 AM »
So, I stopped smoking but I started vaping (smoking e-cigarettes) and I'm a germaphobe. I clean my e-cigarette with disinfecting tissues but I noticed they have benzalkonium chloride in them. I cleaned with them my e-cig and the liquid in them evaporates quickly but the disinfecting tissue odor stays on e-cig. Can chemicals (benzalkonium chloride) from that odor get through inhaling to the heating element (200 degree celsius) in e-cig and then decompose in hydrogen chloride (which is decomposition product from benzalkonium chloride) which is very toxic. Should I worry about cancer or pulmanory edema. This chemicals are in tissues  http://imgur.com/cK1ATWq Thank you for your answers!
