Applications of nitric acid
« on: August 28, 2015, 08:28:22 AM »
I would like to clarify on why diluted nitric acid is used to clean new laboratory glassware before using them? The only reasons that I can think of is that nitric acid is used to dissolve metal ions and remove residues, grease and other contaminiating materials from a new glassware.
