making of buffer solution
« on: September 09, 2015, 11:56:48 PM »
Hey guys,
Here is the deal, i prepared an acetate buffer from sodium acetate solution and acetic acid solution. The individual solutions have a concentration of 0.1M. My question is this, will the buffer that resulted will also have a concentration of 0.1M? Thanks in advance.

Concentration of buffer means sum of concentrations of both acid an the conjugate base (CH3COOH and CH3COO- in your case).

Try to derive a formula for this concentration, assuming you used VA and VB volumes of both solutions.
